Pia holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. She works as a brain scientist in a research laboratory focused on developmental psychology, where her work centres on early language and cognitive development in infancy and early childhood. Her research explores how the environment shapes brain development and emerging cognitive abilities during the earliest stages of life.
As a neuroscientist, Pia has long been fascinated by how the brain functions in constant interaction with its environment. She views brain health as a cornerstone of overall well-being, forming the foundation for mental and emotional health across the lifespan. From this perspective, mind and body are inseparable, continuously influencing one another in dynamic and meaningful ways.
Alongside her academic work, Pia is a Holistic Solution Focused Coach and a student member of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy. Pia is currently in her fourth year of training at the Hakomi Institute of Mallorca and integrates Hakomi-informed principles into her coaching practice. She is deeply inspired by the Hakomi method for its integration of solid theoretical foundations and empirical research with mindfulness, loving presence, compassionate acceptance, and relational attunement.
In her work with clients, Pia emphasises presence, curiosity, and gentle encouragement, grounded in the belief that growth begins with an honest meeting of present experience. Mindfulness and body-based awareness exercises are woven into her sessions, supporting clients in cultivating deeper self-awareness and embodied insight. With an adventurous and supportive mindset, she invites clients to approach their personal development journeys with courage, openness, and self-compassion.
Pia is also the mother of two children and has lived in a multilingual and multicultural environment for over 20 years. These experiences shape her both professionally and personally, grounding her work in everyday life as much as in theory. Outside of work, she is nourished by reading, music, theatre, the arts, dancing, and time spent in nature, spaces where curiosity, creativity, and presence come alive.
Pia is based in Paris and offers coaching sessions online.
